John V. Robinson
John V. Robinson graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1986 and began his legal career as an associate attorney at Hunton & Williams. Prior to earning his American law degree John was a third generation Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University (both his father and grandfather, who were also lawyers, were Rhodes Scholars), where he earned a masters degree in jurisprudence. He currently serves on the adjunct faculty of University of Richmond School of Law where he has taught courses in intellectual property and entertainment law. John has represented clients ranging from neighborhood businesses to international financial institutions and has represented U.S. and foreign clients concerning regulatory, corporate, general business and litigation matters. In addition to advising clients on domestic law, John has helped clients do business overseas with issues of international trade and commerce. John is experienced in administrative law and currently serves as a hearing officer on appointment by the Supreme Court of Virginia.
John has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system.
John won the Rolex National Squash Championship in his division in 1988 when he was ranked #1 in the nation in the 30+ age group and #10 in the Open Division.
John was born in Harare, Zimbabwe.
